Before I begin, I want to say that CORSAIR M65 Pro RGB is the best PC gaming mouse for US gamers as it comes at a reasonable price in the USA. With its aircraft-grade aluminum material and sturdy design, the M65 Pro is a perfect combination of durability and construction.

The weight of 140g may seem heavier in its first use; however, it feels much better after reducing the weight (as low as 105g) by removing all three weights, and your gaming experience will be like rocket speed. Not only it has a max DPI of up to 12000 matches, suitable for most of the gaming monitors, and a sniper button feature on its left side for more precision and accuracy, it also has a direct match with G502 Proteus Spectrum in every respect.

Corsair’s gaming mouse like M65 Pro is a quite decent addition due to their attractive designs, beautiful case, and perfect RAM. This is not only a best-budget gaming mouse but also well suited for high-end gamers due to its raised shape to fit your hand. Every new mouse launched by Corsair is as perfect and high-performing as another top-notch mouse, no matter whether you buy K70, K96, or M65 Pro that are some of the best gaming mice in the market.

The M65 Pro comes with RGB lighting that can be monitored and controlled through customization software by Corsair. Even the software is as easy as ABC, and you can control the DPI by two adjustment buttons. There is also a DPI light to show the DPI stage.

In addition, you can tune the weight, if you feel inconvenient, by removing some weights away (that are removable to make the mouse lighter and comfortable). This is what makes M65 Pro a perfect mouse for every gamer, especially the FPS gamers who need to save every bit of a second while playing. Sadly, the cables are non-removable, yet the bright side is an optical sensor is considered more suitable for gaming purposes than a laser sensor. The Razer Deathadder is one of the most popular gaming mice with perfect grip, amazing shape and is suitable for adding hand sizes. Whether you are a high-end gamer, who plays the whole day, or a newbie, you will never feel tired by using this mouse due to its ergonomic design ideal for every gamer. Even you will feel much convenient while using Photoshop or surfing the internet.

The Deathadder Chroma comes with an optical sensor having 10,000 DPI that is much bigger than ordinary gaming mice available in the market. Not only can you use the maximum DPI, but you can also customize it or reduce it as per your choice while gaming.

As claimed by Razer company, the sensor allows mouse movement up to 200 inches per second which is quite impressive. Such a high speed is enough to provide maximum accuracy while playing fast or slow speed games. The best thing about the Optical sensor of Deathadder is that its sensor is PMW-3366, which is developed by most favorite company Pixart in collaboration with Logitech.

One most important thing about Razer Deathadder Chroma and Deathadder Elite is their outstanding performance. You will notice it when dragging the mouse while gaming or video editing. The reason is that Chroma’s optical sensor has the ability to detect Z-axis movement at 1mm. Another thing that caught our attention was its efficiency working on every surface, we used it on cloth, tabletop, and glass surfaces, and it showed the highest accuracy.

Although it lacks one of the most demanding features of RBG lighting, it still rules the gaming mouse industry due to its beautiful 16.8 million customizable Chroma lighting options. You can customize the Chroma lighting with Razer Synapse 2.0 software. The variety of Pink, Blue, and Green colors can illuminate your mouse and company logo as you want them to work for you. This is the best addition and a perfect substitute for RGB lighting.

Deathadder Chroma comes with five buttons: a scroll wheel, two widely placed standard buttons, and two customizable left side buttons. The additional buttons are a great addition to have the best accuracy and speed while gaming.

Overall, the Razer Deathadder Chroma is the best gaming mouse at an affordable price, perfect for beginners and professional gamers looking for the least expensive and solid gaming mouse. For more information, you may see the Razer Deathadder Chroma review.

  • Adjustable weight and Balance
  • Customizable DPI options
  • Best tracking and sensitivity performance
Reasons to Avoid
  • Not built for left-hand users
  • A few of the buttons are hard to press during fast gaming.

Logitech G502 Proteus Core is the successor of the G500 series that proved to be one of the most demanding mice in the past. The G502 Proteus Core, however, is its advanced and updated version that offers most of the features needed by high-end gamers. It would be no wrong to say that this is perfect for all-purpose gaming, whether you are a new gamer or a professional one. The G502 Proteus Core is also one of the most comfortable gaming mice dedicated to claw grip and palm grip users.

Remember, this is not a minimalist mouse because the presence of 11 programmable buttons, specially made for gamers, increases its size and weight more than average. The mouse consists of two standard buttons, two DPI sensitivity buttons, a three-directional moving wheel, one wheel friction adjustment button, one button below the scroll, and three distinct thumb buttons. The issue of free-scrolling has been removed in G502 Proteus Core by its rock-solid design and scroll buttons.

The G502 Proteus Core is compatible with the Gaming software by Logitech. The Logitech software not just scans the games pre-installed on your PC but also helps create and save three profiles for you, depending on the game preference you want to play. The software is also easy to use, and you can customize the mouse buttons, then the software will automatically set the customized settings when the game is launched. The software also helps to adjust lighting and DPI range (from 200 to 12000 DPI).

The two most advanced options included in G502 Proteus Core are surface testing and weight adjustment features. Surface testing allows you to optimize the surface sheet over which the mouse is to be dragged, and the weight adjustment option helps to add or remove weight depending upon the requirement.

On its performance side, the Proteus Core proved itself beyond expectations. From Batman to the World of Warcraft, it gave an extraordinary performance with every game we played. You will feel satisfied with Proteus Core, whether you love MMO, FPS, action, strategy, or adventure games. You will never feel dissatisfaction with its precision, accuracy, performance, and efficiency. Our tests went well while playing Marvel Heroes, Overwatch, and Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Logitech G502 Proteus Core is on our list of the best gaming mice for under 100 dollars and all-purpose gaming due to its excellent performance, comfortable design, and cost-effectiveness. Although it lacks a few features like RBG and wireless, yet it still rules the gaming mouse.

4. ASUS ROG Spatha RGB

Best for right hand users, sturdy design, good for MOBA players

Weight178g
Dimension7.2 x 4.5 x 6.5 inches
Reasons to Buy
  • Solid and most durable design
  • Works smoothly on every surface
  • Highly customizable gaming mouse
  • Customizable RGB lighting
  • Easy to use software
Reasons to Avoid
  • Very expensive
  • Side buttons are a bit hard to press
  • Not suitable for small hands

ASUS has rushed into the gaming mouse industry long ago. Still, the addition of ASUS (Republic of Gamers) ROG Spatha has enabled this company in the list of premium gaming mice below 200 dollars. This hybrid mouse with both wired and wireless features makes it worth buying a mouse for an extraordinary gaming experience.

This is probably perfect for persons with large hands because this is one of the biggest mice. You heard it right..! The mouse will definitely require a bit more space than an ordinary mouse. Sadly, it lacked any weight adjustment features, and its weight is nearly 180g that is still more than its competitors. Therefore, you must think twice about the weight and size before going for this mouse, even though it has advanced and updated features that most high-end gamers demand.

The ASUS ROG Spatha is the most durable mouse with a perfect grip and smooth functionality on every surface regarding its design and surface. The innovative design makes it a spaceship look that is quite interesting. Other than that, the design makes it the best mouse for palm grip.

With its 12 programmable buttons, you will get a lot of ease while gaming. The buttons include two standard buttons, a scroll wheel, forward and backward buttons, DPI switcher buttons, and six hotkeys on the left side for greater control and comfort.

One of the most important features of ASUS ROG Spatha is that it is a wired and a wireless gaming mouse as well. But in our tests, it performed a bit better in wired mode. But this was not a much noticeable problem, as, in the wired mode, every mouse definitely works much better.

Another thing that caught our attention was one of our favorite RGB lighting features. Having six different lighting modes in three lighting zones, including the scroll wheel, the side buttons, and the logo, the ROG Spatha is a gaming mouse with the most beautiful and customizable RGB lighting system.

The best feature that makes it an exceptional gaming mouse is its click resistance feature. Though the right and left button switches are for normal touch and fast gameplay, the addition of hard switches for controlled movements supplies a greater amount of comfort in gaming, where each click counts a lot. This is where the ASUS ROG Spatha beats its competitors.

The ASUS ROG Spatha also outperformed in its performance side, although we experienced a few delays in wireless, that was negligible. The 8200 DPI is quite better, and it will provide enough performance that will be sufficient in playing high-speed games. This is the best gaming mouse for Destiny 2 and Dota 2, as per our testing. However, it is also most suitable for photo and video editing.

One of the biggest flaws of ASUS ROG Spatha is its price. Don’t forget that this is a costly gaming mouse and may cost heavily in your pocket. Also, this is best for big hands. If you are a high-end gamer and need maximum without focusing on the price tag, you must go for it. Otherwise, many better options, like Logitech G502 Proteus and CORSAIR Sabre, are available under the $100 price tag.

5. Razer NAGA HEX V2

Best mechanical switches; great precision and speed

RAZER NAGA HEX V2

Weight198g
Dimension6.9 x 2.6 x 4.5 inches
Reasons to Buy
  • 5G laser sensor with 16,000 DPI
  • Solid and impressive design
  • Razer Chroma lighting and Synapse 2.0 software
  • Amazing mechanical switches in thumb buttons
  • Fully customizable buttons
Reasons to Avoid
  • Same old design
  • Pricey

Razer always excels in gaming gadgets, and this is what we can see in its Naga Hex V2, a successor of Naga Hex that ruled the gaming industry. Continuing the same tradition, this is the best gaming mouse for MOBA, as claimed by the company. But the innovative features of Naga Hex V2 put it in between the Razer Hex and Razer Naga, which is already the best mouse for MMO. However, the Naga Hex V2 has many improvements, customizations, and the addition of buttons for more comfort and control.

The body of Naga Hex V2 is similar to Razer Naga with full-sized rest on top and a bulky and heavy design. Though the first look may not attract you, it is most comfortable and accommodative due to its large size and palm grip.

Unlike Razer Hex, the Razer Naga Hex V2 comes with plenty of buttons. In addition to a clickable scroll wheel and the standard left and right buttons, the mouse has two buttons below the scroll for DPI adjustment and seven (7) buttons on its left side around the thumb. The design is the most loved design by old gamers as it is somewhat similar to the Razer Hex.

Like Naga, Deathadder, and Mamba, the Razer Naga Hex V2 has an intuitive feature of Chroma lighting. This is what is most loved by loyal Razer users; even I also liked it. With more than 16 million colors, it offers various colors to choose from, including seven (VIBGYOR) colors. Similar to other Razer mice, the Chroma lighting appears on three zones.

Another feature worth mentioning is a wide range of DPI, which you can set from 200 DPI to 16,000 DPI depending on your gaming requirement.

We have already mentioned in Razer Deathadder that Synapse 2.0 software is easy to use, high-performance, and lightweight software. The software not just helps to customize Chroma lighting patterns, it also helps to reprogram the hotkeys and saving profiles for different pre-installed games that you play.

On the performance side, the Razer Naga Hex V2 is most suitable for MOBA, though you can play all games with it. In our experience, it performed quite well while playing Battlefield 4, Heroes of Storm, StarCraft, and Black ops 4. The biggest downside of Razer Naga Hex V2 is its same old design and, one thing that made me crazy was the thumb buttons. No doubt this is the most demanding design; the company could have made some extraordinary changes to make it more attractive and appealing.

The Razer Naga Hex V2 is best for those who want to lead in Dota 2 or League of Legends. With a price just above the mark of 100$, this multipurpose mouse offers many features that every gamer needs for an immersive gaming experience.

6. Corsair Sabre

Best budget choice with programmable buttons

CORSAIR Sabre
Specifications:
ManufacturerCorsair
ModelSabre
SensorOptical
InterfaceWired
Buttons8 (Programmable)
DPI10,000

Weight100g
Dimension4.9 x 3.4 x 1.5 inches
Reasons to Buy
  • Excellent sensors
  • Programmable buttons
  • Customizable RGB lighting effect
  • Affordable
Reasons to Avoid
  • Design may cause some issues

The Corsair Sabre is actually a downgraded version of the Corsair M65 Pro RGB in terms of its features and design. If you already have Corsair M65 Pro RGB, this one is not for you; however, go for this option only if you are looking for a cheap gaming mouse with premium performance.

With a completely new design, the Sabre is setting new traditions of innovation and performance. The mouse is performance-oriented that lets you achieve DPI as high as 10,000. There is a multi-color DPI indicator that further improves the tracking and accuracy of the mouse while playing high-end games where every click of the mouse is essential to winning.

The impressive RGB lighting pattern is another thing that might attract gamers towards it. The backlighting has four zones, and we noticed an appreciable beauty in its lights coming out from these zones. The design is simple, and with a weight of just 100g, it is actually a lightweight gaming mouse that won’t make you feel fatigued even after long hours of the gaming session.

Like other Corsair gaming mice, the Sabre RGB mouse is equipped with eight programmable buttons. All these buttons are fully customizable to let you play as per your personal preference. Besides, these settings can further be configured using Corsair Utility Engine (CUE) software. This utility lets you improve and customize the mouse and tune it like other gaming gadgets.

Overall, Corsair Sabre’s performance is impressive, and the design is ergonomic, though some people may feel issues in its use as it is not an ambidextrous mouse. The mouse can rest on your gaming desk, and you will really like it because it will give you extraordinary grip, smooth movement, and no pain even after many hours of gaming.

7. Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum

Best ambidextrous design, great for MMO and RPG gaming

Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum

Weight110g
Dimension5.1 x 2.6 x 1.6 inches
Reasons to Buy
  • Appealing Spectrum RGB lighting
  • Fully programmable and customizable buttons
  • Excellent switches and sensor performance
  • Ambidextrous design
Reasons to Avoid
  • Expensive
  • Doesn’t come with a charging dock

Logitech’s peripherals are matchless in performance and most appealing in design, and this is what you will get from the Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum gaming mouse. The Logitech is among the pioneers in introducing innovative and performance-oriented gaming gadgets, no matter whether it is a gaming keyboard, mouse, headphone, or speaker. The company is reliable and most loved by everyday gamers.

Not only the G900 is perfect in every aspect, but it is also in direct competition with its rivals, especially Razer Ouroboros, Asus ROG Spatha, and SteelSeries Rival 700. This is the only reason the company hasn’t left any stone unturned in every mouse it has ever produced.

Among the good things about G900 Chaos Spectrum is the Adjustable DPI option in the range of 200-12000, which is really impressive and offers higher responsiveness and control at any speed you select. Keep in mind that this is a convertible gaming mouse, and its wire is detachable that you can use in wired or wireless mode, best suited for eSports gamers.

As this is a rechargeable mouse, its battery life can last for more than one complete day (about 30 hours or more), thanks to its battery-saving Clock Tuning Technology which, according to Logitech, improves its battery life. The mouse is ambidextrous in design, which means you can get it no matter whether you are a right-hand user or left-hander.

Bear in mind the mouse is equipped with a PMW3366 Optical gaming sensor that has proven performance and offers excellent tracking accuracy by responding to every click that you press. The mouse comes with programmable and customizable buttons that offer more comfort in clicking the buttons with minimum force applied.

In short, the mouse is precise in action, excellent in performance, and ambidextrous in design but higher in price, too. Besides, what you get as a bonus is Logitech’s most fascinating RGB lighting spectrum that you can customize using Logitech’s software. Overall, this is one of the powerful gaming mice available online.

8. Corsair SCIMITAR RGB

Huge side buttons, best for FPS gaming
Corsair SCIMITAR mouse
Specifications:
Manufacturer Corsair
ModelSCIMITAR
SensorOptical
InterfaceWired
Buttons17 (12 Programmable buttons)
DPI12000
RGBYes
Weight140g
Dimension6 x 3.1 x 7.8 inches
Reasons to Buy
  • Excellent tracking with Pixart sensor
  • Best for MOBA/MMO gamers
  • 4 zone RGB lighting
  • Durable design
Reasons to Avoid
  • Heavy for some users
  • Thumb buttons are a pain

It may sound odd to add another gaming mouse by Corsair, yet the mouse’s features and performance may easily fill the gap of any gaming mice list. Besides, all the gaming peripherals by Corsair are really impressive and worth the money.

After Corsair M65 Pro RGB, the best gaming mice for FPS gamers, the next Corsair’s gaming peripheral on our list is SCIMITAR RGB, the finest gaming mouse equipped with maximum buttons; it is perfect for MMO and MOBA gamers.

Equipped with as many as 17 programmable buttons, this is actually a button-ridden gaming mouse. Out of these buttons, 12 are placed on the left side of the mouse; that is to say, this mouse is basically built for right-hand gamers, but sadly not for lefties. If you are a lefty, you should see Logitech G300, SteelSeries Sensei 310, Razer Viper, or Corsair M55 RGB Pro; all of these are ambidextrous and best for the left as well as right-hand gamers.

The mouse comes with a customizable slider option which means you can adjust the slider according to your thumb position and hand side. The adjustability feature certainly gives it a unique design for gamers with large hands.

Besides, the mouse features a Pixart ADNS 3988 optical sensor, one of the best gaming mice sensors. The sensor supports up to 12,000 DPI customized as per your gaming need for greater precision and performance. SCIMITAR RGB also comes with 4 RGB lighting zones, which can be customized by iCUE utility software.

Since the mouse is equipped for gaming purposes, the performance is irrefutable. The mouse works in direct competition with all the high-end gaming mice; by offering great sensor performance and excellent precision.

The downside of Corsair SCIMITAR RGB is that, though the buttons are conveniently placed and highly responsive to every click, they are so huge in number on the left side that sometimes we experienced accidental misclicks. For a gamer, a single misclick at the wrong time may ruin his whole competition, and this is the point where it lags. Yet these buttons are blessings in disguise for MMO and MOBA players who really require a large number of buttons.

If you are the gamer who needs more buttons on his gaming mouse than the keyboard, the Corsair SCIMITAR RGB must be on your radar. Those who have bigger hands might also love this mouse due to its greater customization options.

Moreover, an excellent optical sensor, high DPI resolution, and multiple program buttons also matter when choosing a mouse.

What is DPI in a gaming mouse?

Dots per inch, or more commonly known as DPI, refers to how fast your mouse cursor can move when you use it. A suitable DPI is essential for gamers as they need to take action quickly during a game and shoot at the opponents without any delay. The standard DPI is between 800 to 1200, while you require a DPI between 1000 to 1600 for MMO and RPG games. The higher the DPI, the better it is for your game as you can move precisely.

What is the difference between a gaming mouse and a regular mouse?

Gaming mice are built while keeping professional gamers in mind. A gaming mouse comes with additional and unique features such as programmable buttons, higher sensitivity, adjustable and customized weight, faster response time, and better palm and grip style. They also have amazing sensor quality.

Always make sure that you place your elbows at a 90-degree angle on the table while maintaining a comfortable grip. Use a finger or two for tapping or clicking on the mouse. You should avoid using your wrists or the forearm for moving the mouse, as wrist rests can cut off the blood supply in the wrists.

How to position a keyboard and mouse for gaming?

First of all, make sure that you place the keyboard and the mouse on a desk near the computer system. Place them at a short distance so that you don’t have to stretch much to use them. Both the keyboard and mouse should be in line with each other and preferably placed on a surface that is 2 to 3 inches higher than your knees. Choose the right chair to sit on so you do not face any backache or bent spine complaints.

How to clean a gaming mouse?

It would be best if you unplugged your mouse before starting to clean to avoid any mishaps. Place several paper towels on your desk so they can catch and accumulate all the dust. Insert a thin toothpick inside the holes and tiny parts of the mouse to clean out any dirt or gunk. You can also use a cotton cloth with rubbing alcohol to wipe off the mouse from above and below, including the bottom’s tracking ball.

How to program a gaming mouse?

It would help if you started Microsoft mouse and clicked on the control panel. After that, click the buttons tab, and under the button, assignment, click the box you’d like to assign a function for. Once you have done that, click on the “apply” button, and that’s all. Your program is ready. Isn’t that easy?
